I have done our taxes for nearly 40 years, with Turbo Tax for last year and the year before that. For those years, it worked really great and I was sold.
This year they changed the interface and prompts. I can't say how much I hate it. I am

Do not think that you will be able to file your Federal Tax free. The program guides you through the state tax also then will not allow federal filing without paying for state. This was not made clear at the beginning.

I have used Turbo Tax for a few years and it just gets worse each year....last year it messed up my w 2 information and I now owe more tax...when I tried to look up the data it is not accessible in the online version....also it is poor for capital

I spent days entering in my return into TurboTax online (dozens of dividend reinvestment cost bases, etc.). Almost at completion, a bug prevents me now from logging in to complete the return. There was no way to save my data locally while completing

If you need help using this software, get ready for a nightmare. After getting my Credit card info, it indicated the errors. I tried calling to get help and reached an Indian operator after 20 minutes waiting. The operator accent was so pronounced that was hard to understand and he couldn't understand me. I tried calling again for another operator and it was another indian national with even less understanding of ESL.
I tried a third time with the chat help, after 30 minutes, I tried to explain my problem but after 25 more minutes he/she was unresponsive.
If the USA is your main client, why not hiring americans??
Slow even on a broadband connection.
